Investar Bank is expanding its Mortgage Department!

Investar Bank is actively seeking experienced Mortgage Loan Originators.  Experience required with 3+ years in Mortgage Lending and Origination with a strong referral source from local realtors or contacts within the industry.  We'll count on you to help grow our mortgage business by originating at least $12,000,000 per year in 1-4 family residential real estate mortgage loans.  Previous production reports a plus!

Investar Bank will expect you to know relevant federal regulations and bank policies/procedures, and keep abreast of trends and developments in the real estate market and mortgage industry.  Including but not limited to;  FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, TIL regs, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, RESPA regs, and state/local real estate and finance laws.

PREFERRED SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:

• Through understanding of PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Understanding of PC applications
• Knowledge of loan processing/booking for mortgage loans
• Extensive Knowledge of Calyx Point

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines

• Ability to read and interpret loan documentation
• Ability to lift /move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an ^"undue hardship^" then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.

COMPENSATION -- Depends upon experience

Investar Bank is a full service community bank located in Baton Rouge.  Offices are currently open in Baton Rouge and Port Allen.  Additional offices including Denham Springs will be open soon.
