Cornerstone Bank has an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Sr. Mortgage Loan Processor at our Mt. Paran location.  

Job Responsibilities:

·         Supply mortgage loan applicant with loan package and list of items required for loan approval.

·         Gather and follow up on documentation from the customer for loan approval.

·         Review incoming documentation within defined time frame of receipt for completeness and accuracy; reconcile application against system input.

·         Order title, appraisal and insurance with third parties and update credit if needed.

·         Verify and validate supporting income, asset and liability documentation to ensure validity of the approved system.

·         Satisfy conditions and compliance requirements in a timely manner. 

·         Interact with borrowers, realtors, attorneys, appraiser, insurance agents and lenders on a daily basis.

·         Provide borrowers with adverse action letter if necessary.

·         Maintain a weekly pipeline report for loans/prospects in process.

·         Advise Loan Officer of any legislation that affects the bank’s policies and procedures.

·         Handle any overdraft transactions.

·         Generate loan documentation and handle funding of bank loans.

·         Prepare adverse action letter when needed.

·         Handle bank client calls with excellent customer service.

·         Ensure loan exception report is current and correct.

·         Process wire transfer requests.

Job Requirements

·         Minimum of 5 years experience in mortgage loan processing including jumbo and FHA loans.

·         Retail banking experience is a plus.

·         Must have experience with Caylx or other various types of mortgage software

·         Must have proficient Microsoft Office skills

·         Must have strong oral and written skills and be a team player. 

·         Must be able to meet deadlines and have ability to work independently.  

·         Must be a self starter, detail oriented and have ability to multi-task.
