Looking for an opportunity to be a key contributor for a local bank?  Our client is looking for a Mortgage Loan workout specialist with two to five years of mortgage loan workout experience that wants to work in a growing community bank in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota.

Job Description

This person is a member of a small core special assets group and will be part of a team contributing to the collection activity and preservation of collateralized mortgage property.

·         Communicates with borrowers to mitigate loan exposure of the bank

·         Communicates and documents contact with delinquent borrowers.  Accountable to obtain a commitment to pay by the Borrower.

·         Work on problem loans related to negotiations, restructuring payment plans, collateral evaluations and managing work-out loans.

·         Creates, completes and maintains internal reports on established time intervals

·         Reviews and understands mortgage documentation

·         Communicates with borrowers on Mortgage/Construction/Consumer loans.

Requirements

An excellent candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

·          High school diploma or equivalent

·         Superior knowledge of residential real estate industry including but not limited to mortgages, loan documentation, foreclosure procedures, collection strategies, mortgage insurance, title and line priority

·         Superior knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern collections by a Creditor.

·         Minimum two years of mortgage foreclosure experience

·          Thorough knowledge of bank operations, tax and accounting affecting other Real Estate Owned property

·         Works with defaulted Construction Loan Borrowers to obtain long term financing

·          Microsoft Office software

·          Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Highly organized and able to plan effectively
