Position Summary

Responsible for mortgage loan production within the bank and loan production through solicitation efforts outside the bank.  Referral of clientele to appropriate bank line of business.

Duties and Responsibilities

1.     Produce mortgage loan originations.  Must have strong knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA guidelines.

2.     Ensure all current loan documents are in compliance with applicable law.

3.     Ensure al third party vendor relationships are in compliance with applicable law.

4.     Monitor reports on all areas of responsibility to assure timeliness of production.

5.     Coordinate loan structure and approval with Senior Lender for portfolio loans.

6.     Create, implement, and continually review, a plan that includes strategies designed to support organizational goals.

7.     Refer opportunities to Gateway Bank’s other lines of businesses.

8.     Fulfill responsibilities under the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.  This includes identifying customers properly, initiating SARs and utilizing OFAC records accordingly.

Qualifications

Ø  Experience and Education 

Ø  An experienced mortgage banker with five plus years’ industry experience.  

Ø  An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.   

Ø  A well organized and self-directed individual who is “politically savvy” and a team player.  

Ø  An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels and possesses excellent communication skills.  

Ø  An individual who can exhibit a high degree of self-confidence and empathy.  

Ø  An individual who has a competitive drive and is achievement oriented.  

Ø  A decisive individual who possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic.

Ø  Computer Skills – Excel and Word skills required.  PowerPoint skills preferred.

Ø  Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent preferred.
