Complete complex, responsible and somewhat specialized clerical work, under limited supervision, in one or more operations functions within Mortgage Servicing. Complete specialized research to resolve problems. Assist in providing guidance and training to less experienced personnel. Complete other responsibilities, as assigned. Complete duties involving complex, responsible and somewhat specialized clerical work in one or more operations functions within Mortgage Servicing, under limited supervision. Use judgment and initiative in completion of assigned tasks. Complete necessary and specialized research to resolve problems in assigned area .Work with other departments, business units and/or external customers to resolve inquiries as required.
Operate computer terminal or personal computer and familiar with appropriate software, screens and functions. Maintain production and quality standards to meet department goals. Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. This position requires somebody that will participate and provide support within a team environment, work independently when required, and has a tenacious attitude with respect to getting to the root of a problem.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years proven mortgage servicing operations experience or equivalent
- Proven communications, typing and organizational skills
