HUNT Mortgage is looking for a loan Underwriter to join our team of professionals. For this critical position, we are looking for someone with exceptional customer service skills, who is able to perform duties related to the underwriting of FHA,VA and Conventional loans. Underwriter will evaluate and approve/deny applications of a highly complex nature, and complete review/evaluation of the mortgage credit applications to assess product fit, pricing accuracy, and credit risk.

The Underwriter also analyzes appraisals to ensure collateral supports overall risk. Responsible for assessing credit reports, income and asset verification, and other required documentation to support a credit decision via an automated underwriting engine, or a fully processed loan package. Underwriter also analyzes financial statements to determine borrower’s income and likelihood of continuance.

We are looking for a detail oriented individuals with strong analytical skills. Qualified candidates will be working with FHA, VA, and Conventional mortgages.
