Job Description

Mortgage Underwriters Required

Location - Jacksonville FL and Cleveland OH

Underwriting Job Description

Perform loan file review and underwriting to determine compliance with investor guidelines, underwriting philosophy, policy, and procedures.  Ensures timeliness, accuracy, and productivity levels established by management

Work Experience

Minimum Five years underwriting experience required

Knowledge of DU/LP/Zippy

Minimum of 2 years of contract underwriting experience

·         Direct experience in Lenders, Investors, Government and Underwriting Programs requirements

·         Knowledge of all documents used by the Lender in the origination of FHA, VA and Conventional loans

·         Computer literate with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access (or equivalent database reporting programs); experience with the ACES Quality Control system highly desirable.

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Ability to work efficiently with a low margin of error, and with minimal supervision

Personal Competencies

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Ability to make independent decisions w/in program and company guidelines

·         Perform with a high degree of accuracy

·         Cooperative team player
