Description:

Motorola Two-way radio communications company that sells and services Motorola and Kenwood products in the Wichita, Kansas area. Has an opening for a Service Technician/Manager. We are a Motorola MSS and a authorized Kenwood service center. We have 800 Privacy Plus systems and UHF LTR systems.

Responsibilities:

• To repair, maintain, modify and consult on communications equipment and systems in a First Wireless Inc. service center or at a customer location.
• Discussing equipment operations and/or problems with customers and determine the approach for the appropriate solutions.
• Scheduling of service people for timely repair and installation of equipment.
• Accountability for technicians billable and non-billable time.
• Performing a leadership role within the company.

Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of audio, RF, digital and microprocessor electronic circuits found in communication equipment.

Problem solving skills to troubleshoot equipment critical to a large system where down time is very costly.

Ability to deal with customers, installer, sales personnel and area field technicians.

FCC/Nabor Certification.

Minimum work experience, 5 years.
