We currently have the following positions available:

 

Store Manager in Training


Job Summary

The Store Manager in Training (SMIT) understudies the role of Store Manager (SM) by training to become a Store Manager.  The person assigned to this position will be expected to gain the knowledge and skills necessary for the SM position, will be evaluated as a potential SM, and will provide coverage for locations without assigned Store Managers.  Upon successful completion of the SM training program, the SMIT will remain in position until offered a SM position.

 

Management Responsibilities

·       Acts as the Manager on Duty when the SM is not in the store and performs SM functions at that time.  Functions may include:

·       Recruiting top talent.

·       Trains and develops store associates as directed by the SM.

·       Recognizes associates for great performances and communicates honest feedback.

·       Maintains financial controls including shrink, labor and operating expenses.

·       Responsible for compliance with all state and federal laws

·       Coaches and counsels store associates.

·       Ensures that store associates offer exceptional customer service.

·       Assists with maximizing and growing the game business in the store.

 

The successful candidate will have:

·       At least 6 months of management experience (experience in retail and / or restaurant management a plus); or Associates Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience

·       Passion for building relationships and serving others

·       Proven experience maximizing sales and productivity

·       Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and communication skills

·       The ability to work a flexible schedule

·       The ability to work in multiple locations if necessary
