Performs a wide range of routine and emergent radiology procedures to assist physicians in two or more of the following examinations: CT, MRI, and X-ray.

Responsibilities

 Ability to demonstrate knowledge and competency in multiple radiology examinations and procedures.

Demonstrates use of proper positioning to produce quality radiology studies clinically according to modalities certified in

Gather diagnostic information to assist interpretive physician

Utilizes information and skills necessary to perform assigned maintenance responsibil

Knowledge of multiple imaging equipment operation and safety

Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff

Conducts exams in a safe, effective, and efficient manner

 Demonstrates continued competence in caring for individuals based upon age-specific needs utilizing developmental perspective

Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns

Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication skills to communicate with patients

Ability to perform while under stress

Ability to document accurately and concisely

Requirements

Licenses or Certifications:  Multiple Certification required, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), R, MRI, and CT.  Applicable state license, BCLS required.  CEU credits maintained

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
