Multi-Platform Software Design Engineer in TEST, C++, C#.NET

Job Description:
Our client is an internationally renowned software enterprise looking for a strong, motivated and results-oriented Quality Engineer with experience in testing products on various Windows and UNIX platforms including Solaris, Linux etc.

This is a challenging and key role in the Quality Management of high-visibility products. The candidate should be a self starter, Quality-centric and customer focused, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience with code development in a client-server environment, writing test plans and test cases, executing manual and automated test, in-depth analysis of code failures, ability to articulate and document technical issues, and a thorough understanding of testing methodologies, is required.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining, executing and evolving current manual and automation test suites
  
• Working closely with peer development teams
  
• Investigating methods to improve product and process Quality

• Minimum of 5 years as a Quality/Test Engineer (including defining and coding Test Cases)
  
• Strong background in Win32 C++ development
  
• Proficiency with C# .NET
  
• Collaborative and team oriented approach to work
  
• Familiarity with Visual Studio Team System
  
• Shell scripting
  
• Understanding of OS and System management concepts
  
• Systems administration experience, preferably in a heterogeneous environment
  
• Passion for and strong customer and partner empathy
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

• Good knowledge of XML, Windows Messaging, and Windows Installer
  
• Previous experience with this client
  
• Excellent object oriented design and software development skills
  
• Experience with gcc/gdb
  
• Experience with non-Windows OSs (Solaris, HPUX, AIX, Linux)
  
• Performance and Stress testing tools
  
• Encryption testing
  
• Experience with HP Openview, IBM Tivoli, BMC Remedy
  
• Familiarity with WSMAN and CIM standards
  
• Familiarity with Hyper-V
