The Multimedia and Web Developer plans, develops and maintains websites for web-based issue-oriented reporting initiatives of an Government customer.  In performing these tasks, they are expected to interface and coordinate with the corporate web services office to obtain the necessary procedures for the development and maintenance of websites.  Tasking for the Multimedia and Web Developer also include the following:

• Development of interactive database driven websites which involve utilizing some or all of the following web development programming languages and software: Cold Fusion, HTML, XML, Visual Basic, Perl, Java, ASP, .Net, PHP, Framemaker + SGML, C++, SQL, PHP, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, CGI Scripting and Flash Action Scripting
• Maintenance of the existing websites
• Provide technical support for web development forums
• Provide information supporting the Communities of Practice
