US Citizenship Required Position Description
SupervisorFunctional Area Manager
Required Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or formal training and 7-10 years applied experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Background with MS Operating Systems (XP and Vista). Familiarity and experience with SQL Server 2005 or 2008, Extensive Markup Language (XML), Mock testing, Web Services, and Visual Studio .NET Development environment necessary. Practical experience building databases and stored procedures strongly desired. Works closely with technical staff and various user community and other government agency personnel. Experience in developing Object Oriented code using ASP.NET, C#.NET 3.5 with Visual Studio 2008 with .NET framework 3.5 (Preferred .NET Framework 3.5). Good knowledge of Design Patterns is required to create well designed backend and front end object models, Windows Services and Web Services in .NET.
Miscellaneous/Preferred Requirements Works closely with technical staff and various user communities. Position will require limited on-call status to support system requirements, initiatives, or customer requests after hours and during weekends. Candidate must be flexible. Must be intuitive, self-motivated, and demonstrate advanced interpersonal skills. Must work well alone and in a team environment. Experience in the SCRUM flavor of Agile Development, Test Driven Development, use of LINQ, SQL Reporting Services, Windows Communication Framework, Experience with Composite UI Application Block, Model View Presenter user interface design pattern, Familiarity with Team Foundation Server source control and reporting, a plus. Background in VB6 ActiveX development a plus.
