| | - Reporting code KPI and risks to project managers, resource managers and the director is key component of this position.
- Set goals and guidelines and track the code quality through the SDLC process.
- Vision may include DB oversight and tools, release, and 2nd level production support duties.
- Ensure consistent software architecture, design and development throughout the development teams.
- Evaluate existing development approaches and establish a broad set of standards for guiding software development.
- Define standard software development framework for UI, web services, business logic and data access layer interactions.
- Lead the technical architecture development team in the development of common frameworks and development patterns.
- Contribute and coordinate enterprise solutions with IT’s central architecture.
- Coordinate architectural collaboration and communication amongst teams (internal and external Distribution)
- Contribute strategic development projects to Internet Distribution roadmap
- Develop and document a development technology road map
- Define acceptance gates for software development, including rules of exception conditions
- Work with resource managers to establish a roadmap for migrating existing non-compliant systems/components to the defined standards-based architecture
- Develop and report a general software scorecard by group, solution and project regarding defined code KPIs
- Manage resourcing of .NET Architects to development projects
- Mentor developers and technical architects

| Job Requirements | | |
| | |
| | - 10+ years software development experience with 5+ years architectural and performance tuning experience on the Microsoft stack.
- Demonstrated success in guiding large organizations in proper architecture, focusing on quality of service (QoS) in availability, manageability, security, integration and performance
- Proven expertise in .NET development of standards and best practices
- Experience working in a large organization, with high-performance, high scalability requirements
- Strong leadership abilities, including an assertive (yet diplomatic) personality, a great attitude and ability to handle change while managing people effectively
- Solid verbal, technical and interpersonal skills (presentation and formal documentation)
- Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with Agile development processes
- Experience implementing and utilizing Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Airline business systems knowledge – a plus
