with the highest standards of performance and reliability.  Visual Basic .NET software developer
positions are available within Inmedius’ Program Services Division supporting
the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technology Division (NAVEODTECHDIV)
located near Indian Head, Maryland.  We are looking to expand our
technical staff with Visual Basic .NET developers who will build applications
for use in advanced systems that support Joint Service EOD operations
worldwide.

General Responsibilities:

• Perform modular subsystem decomposition and component-based
  software design. 


• Perform object-oriented analysis and design using software
  engineering methods and modeling tools such as UML. 


• Implement software applications in .NET using commercial
  application frameworks.


• Develop test cases and perform unit testing on components and
  integration testing on .NET applications.


• Draft technical documentation for developed components and
  applications.


• Help develop and refine standards for software lifecycle
  management, including design, development, documentation and issue
  tracking.

General Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science (or similar) and 2-4 years work experience
  utilizing Visual Basic .NET.


• Experience developing software Visual Basic .NET/Visual Basic 6


• Experience with SQL Server relational database management
  system  (RDBMS)


• Experience creating RDBMS schemas and using SQL to create, update,
  and retrieve application data


• Experience with migrating from VB6/.NET to Serena platform


• Object-oriented design and programming skills


• Experience with XML and XML processing is highly desired


• Good verbal and written communication skills.


• United States citizenship, due to government
  requirements

Additional Requirements:

• Java development experience is a plus


• Workflow development experience is a plus


• Experience with XSLT is a plus.


• Experience with web technologies is a plus (e.g., servlet, JSP,
  web services, etc.).
