Our Metro Detroit client is seeking a .NET Developer for a direct-hire position. This person will design, develop, and implement applications based on the user requirements within the required timeframe.
Position Functions:
Design, develop, and implement applications using VB.NET, ASP.NET, and SQL Server with a focus on end-user workflow and process
Work with users and developers in an iterative development process
The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:
Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (VB.NET and ASP.NET)
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Experience in database interface development with ADO.NET and SQL Server (2000 and 2005)
Good working knowledge of database architecture
Entity Relationship Design and Modeling
Understanding of data normalization and correlation methods and theory
Understanding and experience with Agile Programming Methodology
Knowledge and experience with full SDLC development projects
Demonstrated ability to work on fast-paced, interactive development projects
Working knowledge of XML, XSL, XSLT, and XPath
Strong Windows Forms development skills
Ability to analyze end-user tasks and optimize design for maximum increase in efficiency
Understanding of UML and Unified Methods
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and/or ISO quality standards
Application testing based on the user requirements (to be conducted prior to user testing)
Application support responsibilities as necessary which may include coding, bug fixing, SQL queries, report writing, etc.
On-call responsibilities during periods of peak demand
