Job Description:

Our Metro Detroit client is seeking a .NET Developer for a direct-hire position. This person will design, develop, and implement applications based on the user requirements within the required timeframe.

Position Functions:


  • Design, develop, and implement applications using VB.NET, ASP.NET, and SQL Server with a focus on end-user workflow and process

  • Work with users and developers in an iterative development process



The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:

  • Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (VB.NET and ASP.NET)

  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

  • Experience in database interface development with ADO.NET and SQL Server (2000 and 2005)

  • Good working knowledge of database architecture

  • Entity Relationship Design and Modeling

  • Understanding of data normalization and correlation methods and theory

  • Understanding and experience with Agile Programming Methodology

  • Knowledge and experience with full SDLC development projects

  • Demonstrated ability to work on fast-paced, interactive development projects

  • Working knowledge of XML, XSL, XSLT, and XPath

  • Strong Windows Forms development skills

  • Ability to analyze end-user tasks and optimize design for maximum increase in efficiency

  • Understanding of UML and Unified Methods

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and/or ISO quality standards

  • Application testing based on the user requirements (to be conducted prior to user testing)

  • Application support responsibilities as necessary which may include coding, bug fixing, SQL queries, report writing, etc.

  • On-call responsibilities during periods of peak demand
