SolutionsWest is a small business located in downtown Sacramento.  Over the past 12 years, our company has delivered services to over 1 million state and county employees within the State of California.  Created with a focus on training electronic applications, SolutionsWest has grown into a full service IT shop, providing system development, system re-engineering, system integration, configuration management, project management, business analysis re-engineering, change management, system implementation, and maintenance & operation services. 

SolutionsWest currently has an opportunity for a mid-level .Net Programmer/Developer with strong object-oriented background, experienced with the Microsoft .Net (C#, VB.Net, .Net Framework) experienced in accessing Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 from .NET applications through XML, experience with Java Script, as well as a working knowledge of Oracle.  An understanding of Documentum, experience in creating and using web services, and experience developing Flex applications is a plus. 

This position is a full time position located in Sacramento, CA, no relocation assistance available.  Must be willing to travel.  Candidate will spend two months training in Albany, New York, once hired, expenses paid.  Full benefits available.

*Salary start: $55,000 - $70,000

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibility of the Programmer/Developer will be to develop, implement, deploy, and maintain applications based on .Net Framework, its associated utilities, application tools, and scripts. This responsibility includes several essential/desired skills:
* Experience with MS .Net framework, VB.Net, and C# 2005/2008

* Experience accessing a Microsoft SQL database via XML
* SQL database query and manipulation experience

* Experience with Documentum software and development
* Firm understanding of systems and software analysis and design
* Experience adhering to project management procedures and policies
* Ability to work directly with engineers and department managers to identify and capture requirements
* Documentation of applications, and design and implementation of online help systems and training courses

* Team-oriented, goal-focused self-starter capable of working with deadlines under minimum supervision
* Must be able to develop, test, and debug complex systems

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must have an undergraduate (Associate or Bachelor’s) degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or other field; at least four (4) years programming in a professional environment.  Code samples will be required as reference
* Candidate will be expected to work independently as well as in team settings during all phases of a large project’s development life cycle from requirements through maintenance
* Expertise in designing software solutions which encompasses multiple disciplines, languages, and which incorporate multiple vendors’ systems
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively and professionally; and to build and maintain effective relationships with business partners, customers and clients of our customers.
