NETWORK TECHNICIAN I

 

Successful Internet-based company in Palm Beach County is looking for experienced, energetic, and creative IT professionals in our Network Operations Center within our Information Systems department. We are global and growing and your accomplishments and experience are indispensable to our continued success.

 

Position Description:

 

As part of a 3 person Shift team under the direction of a Shift Supervisor or Network Administrator, your duties consist of monitoring our global network in real-time utilizing industry-standard and internally developed monitoring tools.  The Team troubleshoots, solves, and/or escalates issues as they arise according to established procedures plus creates and works trouble tickets as required.  Additionally, the Team performs general IT duties internally and provides telephone and chat-based technical assistance to contractors and other external affiliates.

 

Experience Requirements:

 

Candidate must have documented and verifiable experience in the following areas.  Successful candidates will have to pass a written and practical test involving these skills.

 

Monitor and troubleshoot highly complex Windows Server environments.

Monitor and troubleshoot web-based applications from an end-user perspective.
Telephone Technical Support

Chat-based Technical Support
Troubleshoot and correct minor core networking issues
Excellent written and verbal communications skills

 

Experience Desirables:

 

Web server installation and administration

Assemble desktop workstations and rack-mount servers
Install and configure Windows Server and desktop Operating Systems and
associated applications software.
SQL-Server administration

Monitor and administer EMC SAN platforms

Install CAT5e network cabling and terminators

 

Qualifications:

 

MCP certification or higher (required)

A+ certification or equivalent (required)

1-3 years experience in a related position (required)

Associates Degree in computer-related discipline (interchangeable with experience)
