Position Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Sales Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of sales related data in an on-going effort to increase overall sales productivity. He/She must collect sales records and evaluate performance based on sales quotas while taking into consideration current economic conditions. The development and tracking of key performance indicators will be critical to enhance the understanding of the business and to improve decision making.
The Sales Analyst will create both standardized and custom reports, conduct quantitative sales analysis, provide support for market promotions and assess future needs and data integrity. He/She must develop standardized tools, methodologies and business processes aimed at improving operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Communicate results/recommendations to Senior Management Design and optimize sales territories Creation of sales forecast and quotas Sales variable compensation design and administration On-going review of performance drivers Support ad-hoc analysis requests for the department Assist in tracking and measurement of performance against sales budget Market share analysis
Requirements
2-5 years related experience Ability to prepare analytics and influence key decision makers Demonstrated understanding of sales performance metrics and drivers Expert MS Excel and data manipulation skills Strong communication and presentation skills Excellent analytical, organizational, planning and solution-oriented skills 4 year degree
