These assignments are for Per diem, or for 13 week contract with chance for renewal where you get a full-time schedule consisting of 13 shifts per month, including some weekends.

If you take a contract, it makes absolutely no difference if you are traveling from anywhere across the country or you live across the street; you just need to be available to work full-time and your schedule should be flexible.
