Retention agents contact policyholders by phone to conduct policy reviews on their existing policies, and look for opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell our other products. After 8-10 weeks of paid training, the schedule will be 11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The start date is November 2, 2009.
Our Retention Agents:
- Become licensed to retain, cross-sell, up-sell, and sell personal lines (auto, home, umbrella) products to the public in multiple states.
- Make outbound telephone calls and perform follow-up work as required.
Respond to objections successfully. - Work in rapidly changing circumstances.
- Call out to existing policyholders and offer to conduct a customer care review of their existing policy.
- Cope with strict deadlines or time demands.
- Educate customers with recommended needed protection in case of accident, loss or disaster.
- Cope with anger or hostility of another person.
Provide customers with peace of mind through the judicious use of up-selling coverage and cross-selling additional products. - Deal productively with rejection.
- Prepare for problems/opportunities in advance.
- Meet sales goals to receive incentives and satisfactory performance rating.
- Have possible careers in sales, supervision, underwriting, data management, quality assurance, training, customer service, and other areas.
