NURSE SPECIALIST-WOCN-HOURLY-SPT-1ST SHIFT Job in MILWAUKEE 53226, Wisconsin US

Accountable for the management of patients with wound, ostomy and continence needs. Provides clinic care and education to outpatients as needed. Provides direct inpatient care and education. Serves in the role as clinician, consultant, educator and researcher. Provides leadership and direction for coordination and improvement of WOC care at Froedtert Hospital, including development of policies and procedures, guidelines, standards of care and research.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Currently licensed as a nurse in the State of Wisconsin.

WOCN certified preferred. WOCN certification expected within one year of hire.

Experience as a WOCN preferred

BSN Required. Masters preferred.

Recent and substantial experience as an expert clinician and educator.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to work with other disciplines.

Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to eighty percent to the work time.

Ability to walk and stand continuously (up to eighty percent of the time) and occasionally (up to ten percent of the time) to lift and position patients.
