What You Will Do

The Mid-Market Account Leader’s objective is to coordinate activities for the Mid-Market sales team. The individual will:


  1. Act as a trusted advisor to client in developing data driven solutions.

  2. Establish deep vertical market expertise in assigned verticals to understand customer economics and buying behaviors.

  3. Develop and maintain business plans for client including coverage, essential messaging, and identifiable metrics to achieve

  4. Market coverage: ensure all assigned territories are properly covered

  5. Work diligently to establish relationships with new accounts and develop associated business account plans

  6. Achieve the assigned revenue and accountability quotas

  7. Maintain prospecting strategies for the team to cover prospects in the territory

  8. Work closely with the assigned clients to ensure proper customer satisfaction.

  9. Work with sales development team to produce proposals in the agreed upon format that reflect the client’s scope of work for each sales opportunity.

  10. Produce proposal notes outlining the scope of work and the success criteria

  11. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to produce contracts in accordance with the scope of work and with company policy

  12. Up-sell new technologies and digital solutions using internal subject matter experts or other resources as necessary

  13. Gather competitive intelligence, and work with internal data and platform teams to support competitive market response.

What We Look For

  • Have knowledge of telesales selling techniques including prospecting, presenting, and closing

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Fluency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong command of English language

  • Two to five years of sales experience to executive level clients including owners, CEO, COO, CFO, and SR VP of Operations

  • Customer centric personality, high drive, and self-starting experience

  • Telesales experience selling data related products and syndicated data services

  • Management experience with leading employee teams, and track record of inside sales success

  • Customer-focused

  • Industrious, ambitious, and organized

  • Able to work independently and organize workload efficiently

  • Excellent presentation skills 

  • Able to manage multiple projects 

  • Action and results oriented 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • BS/BA in a field such as Business, Marketing, or Communications 

  • Experience with CRMs, Salesforce.com

  • Retail industry experience
