We are currently accepting resumes for a dynamic sales professional with a proven track record to be our next National Account Manager in our Food Service Division. This position will work with accounts east of the Rockies and will be based east of the Rockies out of the employee's home.
Essential Functions include:
- Develops and executes a business plan for managing sales activities.
- Initiates and maintains relationships within customer accounts.
- Coordinates and conducts key customer ideation sessions with R & D staff.
- Prepares qualified new item requests (NIR) for presentation to executive committee.
- Manages controllable budget spending.
- Prepares and delivers effective sales presentations and contract proposals to customers.
- Negotiates prices with sales accounts and suppliers.
- Manages sales administrative functions including; pricing, contracts, and reporting.
Successful candidates will have:
- At least 3-5 years experience in national account management in the food industry with focus on large chain restaurants and food buying groups.
- Experience with refrigerated fresh foods and distribution a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
- Basic PC skills are required, including MS Office Suite, Sales Discovery and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- 50%-60% Travel required
