He/she will serve as the EA National Dean for Academic Affairs is primarily responsible for matters pertaining to the breath and quality of our academic programs, aligning our programs with EA external and internal stakeholders, interpreting and ensuring nursing programs meet relevant accreditation standings and measuring the impact of our academic mission.
The National Dean reports directly to the VP for Nursing and interfaces with Regional Deans, Regional Vice Presidents, Dean/Director of Nursing, and faculty including representing the Vice President of Nursing on academic faculty counseling and committees as needed.
He/she will be primarily responsible for:
1) facilitating the development, implementation, and evaluation of all new nursing programs
2) facilitating the accreditation process for new EA school applications, monitors and assesses with Compliance ongoing adherence with regulatory and accreditation standards for existing EA nursing schools
3) assuring that existing nursing curriculums are evidence based, in full compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements
4) the systematic evaluation plan is comprehensive, faculty use data from the plan to make data based decisions related to overall program improvements
5) other duties as assigned
The Dean maintains awareness of the current business, education and regulatory environment by a participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Required:
-MSN degree and PhD, DNP, or other health related degree with 5 years of experience a dean of nursing or similar position
-Experience with various state board of nursing, NLNAC, CCNE
One graduate nursing course work in curriculum and evaluation
