NAVSEA is seeking to hire and develop distinguished scholars interested in careers as a future financial managers and comptrollers for a 30-month paid developmental internship. Interns are groomed for ever-increasing responsibilities in financial and business aspects of the multi-billion dollar design, acquisition, and modernization of the Naval fleet and related leading edge technologies. Interns interpret and implement financial/business acquisition policies and ensure compliance with legal statutes required to plan, budget, and execute Navy ship design, acquisition, and modernization projects. Responsibilities encompass business/financial management and oversight of research, design, development, testing, construction, fleet introduction, and lifecycle support of defense technologies. Interns may also participate in planning and executing transfers of current and future surface ships, submarines, boats, and other defense systems to foreign militaries.
