The audio and visual engineer is a member of the project team, you’ll specify and verify the in-vehicle performance of audio and visual transport, source and reproduction that enables devices and features used in various Infotainment and Telematics connectivity modules within automotive electronics. The primary audio and video devices and technologies involved with this position include Microphone, Echo Cancellation, Noise Reduction, Bluetooth, Hands-Free Audio, USB, MOST, Entertainment or Audio Subsystem, TTS, Synthesized Speech and various Signal Interconnect/transport technologies, LCD Displays, Touch Screens, Backup Camera Components/Systems, HDMI transport, LVDS transport and CVBS transport. 

Responsibilities:

 

·         In vehicle systems test planning, testing to meet performance specifications 

·         Interacting with stakeholders relating to the integrated system performance of the end product and evaluating changes as they relate to system performance 

·         Audio and Visual Engineer supports all phases of the product development, including assessment of initial customer requirements, development of product feature and performance requirements, verification of system performance, and post-production issue analysis and resolution 

·         Providing systems-specific knowledge to all involved development teams

·         Overall performance of the product/system audio transport and reproduction quality and video transport and rendering quality in final vehicle configurations 

·         Occasional travel throughout the United States and internationally 

 

Qualifications: 

 

·         BS in Electrical Engineering

·         5 + years experience in audio and/or video performance specification

·         Testing and/or design experience, and possess strong technical, troubleshooting, written and verbal communication skills

·         Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
