Goodrich Sensors & Integrated Systems has an opening for a Program Manager with responsibility for execution of development and production contracts with NAVAIR. This position will be located around the Patuxent River Naval Aviation base in Maryland, and reports into the Vergennes, VT Goodrich facility.
Specific Duties involve:
Managing active programs Goodrich Vergennes has with NAVAIR to ensure cost, schedule, and technical performance to satisfy customer needs. This will involve coordinating and orchestrating efforts within Goodrich and being the business and Program Authority face to NAVAIR.
1. Lead program team to execute on existing development and production programs.
a. Establish and track program deliverables and success criteria.
b. Identify risks and mitigation plans.
c. Coordinate with program and engineering team (often remotely) to ensure all program deliverables and milestones are met.
d. Participate in program reviews with management and customers.
e. Be the point of focus for all program issues.
2. Build relationships and strategy to grow our business with follow on support and production on existing contracts. This will involve keeping the programs sold throughout the Navy community including engineering, logistics, requirements as well as the PM organizations.
3. Help Goodrich gain favorable positions with OEMs, by helping us understand key attributes that are desired by NAVAIR for the products and systems we are proposing to OEMs that supply aircraft to NAVAIR.
4. Provide support to other Goodrich divisions with their interface into NAVAIR to make yourself more visible/valuable to the customer and to help other divisions grow their own business.
Experience and Education Desired:
1. Successful track record as a Program Manager
2. A military aviation background, preferably rotary wing, including experience with the Navy Requirements & Budget process
3. A background knowledge of Navy Logistics and Maintenance
4. B.S. in Engineering or Business Administration
B.S. in an Engineering discipline and/or Business Administration
A minimum of ten years program related experience in related areas with at least five years functional or program management experience.
