Neonatal/Pediatric Clinical Coordinator
About the Job
The Neonatal/Pediatric Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and developing care for the pediatric and neonatal respiratory patients. The incumbent is accountable to the Medical Director with respect to medical direction and works closely with the Nurse Manager of the Pediatric and Neonatal Unit. This position will stimulate innovative improvements in patient care through demonstrating leadership as a practitioner, a coordinator, a resource educator, a consultant and a researcher. This position particularly addresses the care administered to the pediatric and neonatal respiratory patient.
The ideal candidate will possess:
*Associate Degree in Respiratory Care.
*Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
*NRP.
*BLS.
*Must have thorough knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the theory behind all equipment used and the diseases they are used for in order to make routine decisions.
*Must be professionally proficient in the application of respiratory therapy diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
*The Clinical Coordinator must demonstrate a positive attitude at all times and maintain professionalism within the department and intensive care units.
*At least three (3) years of clinical experience in Neonatal-Pediatric Respiratory Therapy.
Preferred Qualifications include:
*Bachelor's Degree in medical field.
*NBRC Neonatal-Pediatric Specialist credential.
*ACLS Certified.
