Position Location: Laurel, MD

Position Summary:

BCS, Incorporated is looking for a .Net programmer with 0-3 years of experience in software development, primarily in the .Net environment.  This position will support BCS’ internal and external clients by providing IT solutions, primarily web-based applications.  

Candidate must be highly organized and able to concurrently perform quick turn-around tasks and long-term projects. Candidate must demonstrate creativity as well as problem solving and time management skills. Candidate must be willing to work on both team and independent assignments.  Candidate should be familiar with all aspects of life-cycle software development process.

Responsibilities Include:

·         Consult with clients to determine requirements

·         Assist with gathering requirements and developing system designs

·         Design, develop, test, deploy, and document software applications

·         Test and debug software applications to ensure client requirements are met. 

·         Provide necessary client support for IT products

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

·         3- 6 years programming experience is required

·         Web development experience required (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).

·         Experience with Object Oriented Programming languages required (C#, Java, VB).

·         .Net development experience is desired (including JQuery, AJAX, ASP.Net, VB and/or C#.Net, TSQL).

·         Experience with relational database development is desired (SQL Server or MySQL).

·         Experience with web application servers (IIS, Apache) desired.

·         Experience with Server Oriented Architecture (SOA), XML, and XPath is desired.

·         Experience with Microsoft SharePoint development and/or administration is desired.

·         Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and Analysis Services desired.

·         Government information technology contracting experience highly desirable.

·         Ability to work independently and have excellent organizational skills.

·         Must be highly motivated, self-directed, and able to work on multiple tasks at the same time.
