Great American Supplemental Benefits Group (GASBG), a division of Great American Financial Resources (GAFRI), now has an opening for a .Net Web Designer Developer position in our North Austin office.  This individual will be responsible for web page design and development, which includes designing the entire site layout, creating pages, graphics, icons and online content for the site, and updating the site on an ongoing basis as new content is produced. 

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop .Net websites in a professional, industrial look and feel.
  • Current with Web 2.0 standards and ability to implement them
  • Expertise in C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, XHTML, HTML, DHTML, CSS, ASP, JavaScript, Java, Flash and JSP; experience writing clean, original code using HTML text editors, and rich media content;
  • 2-3yrs Experience in using AJAX, .Net Custom Controls (.acmx), and Service-Orientated AJAX is required.
  • Silverlight 2.0, WCF, Enterprise Application Development experience a big plus.
  • Experience working in a MS Web/Windows environment, .NET/C#/OOP Skills a plus organizational development.
  • Ability to develop code compliant in Explorer, Firefox, and Safari
  • Experience with several of the following: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Image Ready, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio/Visual Web Developer
  • Experience with database driven, dynamic sites using .Net, php, or similar technologies.
  • Self-motivated with a keen enthusiasm for and demonstrable understanding of the Web industry and technologies. Enhance the usability, visual experience, layout, and functionality of servicing applications.
    Find solutions to increase free traffic to the site through search engine optimization of Web site pages via search engine and directory submissions and Strategic link building development.

  • Requires minimum 6+ Years experience
  • Design and develop websites in a professional, industrial look and feel. Experience working in a MS Web/Windows environment, .NET/C#/OOP Skills a plus organizational development. Current with Web 2.0 standards and ability to implement them Ability to develop code compliant in Explorer, Firefox, and Safari
  • Expertise in XHTML, HTML, DHTML, CSS, ASP, ASP.NET, VB, VB.NET, JavaScript, Java, Flash and JSP; experience writing clean, original code using HTML text editors, and rich media content; Silverlight experience a big plus
  • Experience with several of the following: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Image Ready, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio/Visual Web Developer
  • Experience with database driven, dynamic sites using asp.net, php, ColdFusion, or similar technologies.
  • Self-motivated with a keen enthusiasm for and demonstrable understanding of the Web industry and technologies
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Enhance the usability, visual experience, layout, and functionality of servicing applications.
  • Find solutions to increase free traffic to the site through optimization of Web site pages via search engine and directory submissions and Strategic link building development
  • Education B.A. in graphic design, web design or related field a plus
