Skills Required:
A minimum of 4 years installation, operational maintenance, and upgrade experience on video, network, and secure systems. Evaluates new equipment, systems, and technologies for applicability to customer needs. Familiarity with Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) information technology and communications systems, local and long-haul circuit troubleshooting, and the ability to produce, modify and post circuit and network diagrams. Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time, to pull cables, work in/around cable troughs and raised floor areas, and move equipment as required. Apply network analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with user and systems teams, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications to design AOC configurations that may be a subset of the baseline systems.
Skills Desired:
CCNA, CCNP. 4-7 years experience in digital video compression and encoding technology. Operational AOC Network Administration experience. Prior military technical control experience a plus. Previous experience with requesting and upgrading Air Force communications and civil engineering services.
Position Description:
Perform network administration duties including designing and implementing network infrastructure and services, and producing design documents/diagrams. Analyze and reconfigure LAN/WAN infrastructure to meet dynamic test and exercise requirements. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct problems with network equipment and connections. Develop, maintain, and enforce network system policies and procedures.
Security Clearance: US Secret, with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI-Eligible
