Network Administrator

We are in urgent need for Network Administrators with the following Skillset:

 

Location – Plano, TX

Experience – 7+ Years

Job Type – Contract/Full Time

 

 

Strong Unix and AIX, Wintel, Marimba, Tripwire, and MOM (Microsoft Operations Manager)

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

 

1.       Receive training to support the identified primary services for support.

 

2.       Participate in standard ITIL processes in the areas of Incident, Problem and Change management.

 

3.       Monitor standard support systems (ticketing systems, phone calls, email, etc…) for incident/problem escalation.

 

4.       Resolve incidents and problem by providing troubleshooting assistance while working independently and with local service desks, other internal support teams and external vendors.

 

5.       Document solutions in the Known Error Database.

 

6.       Provide administrative support for change incidents.

 

7.       Prepare and deliver service reports on a scheduled and ad hoc basis.

 

8.       Perform scheduled and ad hoc maintenance tasks.

 

9.       Act as subject matter expert on the specific services for which you primarily support.

 

10.     Write, review and edit service documentation.

 

11.     Assist in the training of other Support Analysts on the team to provide back-up support in your absence (out-of-office and outside of your standard business hours).

 

12.     Rotate in on-call schedule.

 

13.     With training, provide back-up support for other support roles in the International Technology Services organization’s Network Service group (more detail later).

 

14.     Receive turn over from previous support shift and provide turn over to following support shift.

 

The candidate will be expected to keep regular business hours to match US Central Time Zone (GMT -6).

 

The ideal candidate will display these attributes:

•        A self-starter with the ability to lead troubleshooting efforts and the initiative to take lead when conditions warrant.

•        Communicates well in verbal and written communication.
