Powertek currently has a need for a Network Administrator to work at our headquarters. This is a full-time salaried position including our full benefits package.
The applicant must posses the ability to:
- Set up user, administrator and service accounts
- Maintain system documentation
- Tune system performance
- Install system-wide software and allocate mass storage space
- Interact with users and provide desktop support installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of servers, workstations, and associated peripheral equipment
- Schedule, document and oversee data backups
- Install, configure, and manage network connectivity devices (i.e. switches and hubs) and ensure reliable connectivity for attached devices
- Build, configure, troublshoot and integrate new and existing servers to provide service enhancements, application deployments, and infrastructure upgrades
- Recommend software and hardware enhancements, diagnose and correct issues, define and implement new services with the goal of acheiving maximum server up-time and availability for the customers
- Contribute towards the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), back-up systems and disk configurations
- Conduct system analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies
The required technical experience is as follows:
- Expert knowledge of installing, configuring, and administrating Microsoft Server 2003 or 2008, to include file/print services, Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, DNS, and IIS
- Demonstrated knowledge of configuring routers, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention devices
- Demonstrated experience developing and administrating Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and SharePoint Designer 2007
- Demonstrated experience administrating SQL Server 2005 databases, to include installation, tuning, administration, and maintenance plan development
- Demonstrated experience implementing and administrating Microsoft Exchange 2007
- Working knowledge of HTML and development tools, such as Dreamweaver of Microsoft Web Developer 2007 Express, is a plus
This position requires a B.S. in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related field; and 6-8 years of related experience with at least 3+ years in enterprise Windows server management. MCSE preferred but not required.
