Network Administrator

Network Administrator
Location: Tulsa, OK

Job Description:

  • Provides level II support.
  • Responsible for the incident resolution process.
  • Monitors the status and progress toward resolution of all open incidents.
  • Keeps affected users informed about progress.
  • Escalates the process if necessary.
  • Responsible for resolution confirmation and closure of incidents.
  • Follows defined processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Listens and responds to instances of dissatisfaction.
  • Installs and configures all types of software and hardware.
  • Administers Active Directory login accounts, groups and roles. Manages Mailbox, Folder and File Share permissions.
  • Documents all changes and configurations made.
  • Works with Backup Admin to ensure reliable backups and recovery plans according to usage.
  • Responds to system alerts and provides problem details to other staff.
  • Performs Preventative Maintenance and proactively monitors counters and conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Travel: Up to 25%

Job Requirements:

  • Formal training and experience in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server platform (2000/2003), Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Applications(Office Suite, etc.).
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, enthusiastic worker, and fast learner.
