Network Engineer (CCIE)
Digicon Corporation, established in 1985, is a full-service Information Technology Integrator and Solutions Provider to both government and commercial customers. Digicon employs approximately 300 employees throughout the Washington metropolitan area, as well as several other major cities across the nation.
We are currently in search for a Network Engineer (CCIE) to work at our Corporate office in Herndon, VA. This is a full-time employee position with Digicon Corporation.
Position Description:
· Architect, analyze, build, deploy, and secure Cisco-based multiple layer network architectures for government, state/local, and commercial organizations based on business and technical requirements
· Pre and/or Post Sales Engineering for Cisco Networking projects of various size
· Organize and lead requirements gathering and solution design collaborative sessions with customers, partners, and other technical resources of all levels
· Develop detailed proposals and solutions in a pre-sales engineering capacity
· Perform technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects
· Create design Visio's of client’s solution
· Research, analyze, recommend, and implement new technology products
· Use configuration tools to provide accurate bill of materials
· Customer Service oriented in order to provide memorable service
Position Requirements:
· Strong skills and hands-on experience in either Cisco Data Center (Nexus, ICS, and /or Virtualization), Cisco Security (MARS, NAC, ASA, PIX, IDS/IPS, etc.) and / or Cisco Unified Communications (Call Manager, Unity, IPCC Express, etc.) technologies
· Extensive experience in Layer 2 & Layer 3 technologies
· Strong Router configuration experience using BGP/OSPF/EIGRP/RIPv2/MPLS
· Experience in building networks for TCP/IP and UDP for data distribution
· Expert knowledge of F5 Load Balancers
· Strong knowledge of Mail Firewalls such as Barracuda
· Strong knowledge of Juniper Networks Firewalls and Switches
· Expert knowledge of network topology and protocols
· Expert knowledge of DNS. Strong remote desktop and remote server skills
· Must be certified on at least two products
· Excellent presentation, communication & customer interaction skills
