The candidate for the position of Systems Engineer must have a good understanding of the most common and popular networking technologies as well as some of the more mature ones. This person should then be able to troubleshoot/or solve problems in environments rich in Microsoft Server, Exchange, IIS, Cisco Internetworking, VMWare, VPNs, firewalls, antivirus and backups. In addition to a strong technical aptitude, backed by at least 3 years of hard core in the trenches experience, this person must be a powerful communicator and be able to work effectively both independently and as a team player.

Position Responsibilities:

Server Operating Systems: Windows 2003, 2008 R2 and 2012
o Configure file, print and remote access services
o Basic administration, including add/remove users and groups,  GPO, configure file permissions, check event logs, configure and restore from backup
o Required: Exchange Server 2003, 2007,2010 and 2013
o Configuration and troubleshooting of clients, including remote clients
o Administration of enterprise e-mail application, including add/remove users and group, configure folder permissions if applicable, forward mail to other accounts.

Workstation Required: Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8
o Installation, reinstallation and configuration. Troubleshooting of user profile issues. Batch files proficiency.
o Configuration of standard POP, SMTP & Exchange clients including Outlook
o Required: MS Office 2003,2007 and 2010
o Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and customization of MS Office Suite applications per customer's preferences
o Solid understanding of and ability to install, configure and test workstation hardware including video cards, NICs, sound cards, hard drives, and SmartPhones
.
BDR solutions:
o Working Knowledge of Enterprise Backup Systems

Enterprise level Antivirus solutions:
o Extensive experience in installation, configuration and support of centrally managed antivirus solutions

Cloud solutions:
o Required: Office365, Hosted Exchange and SharePoint


Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) Tools
o Required: N-Able, Kaseya or similar tools
o Extensive experience in installation, configuration and customization of RMM tools


Virtualization
o Required: Microsoft Hyper-V or/and VMWare
o Experience in migration from physical to virtual environment

Other Technical Knowledge
o Solid understanding of and ability to configure TCP/IP subnetting and troubleshooting Internet connectivity
o Experience with and understanding of routers and firewalls
o Experience and understanding of Terminal Services & Citrix
o Understanding of DNS and DHCP services

Other Important Considerations
o Regular and timely completion of Minimum Documentation Standards for each client
o On-going self-training to preserve professional viability is a must
o Execution and conclusion of projects on-time and/or successful management of client expectations when targets cannot be met
o Good communication with teams with regards to events and changes transpiring at client sites
o Takes ownership of tasks and follows through to ensure complete resolution
o Takes a personal interest in, and responsibility for, quality of work they perform or are associated with
o Ability to pay close attention to detail while performing technically detailed tasks
o Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations
o Ability and willingness to recognize when it is necessary to ask for technical expertise from others without unnecessarily burdening other team members

Credentials and Experience:
* Engineer with minimum three years' experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience - Active Directory Support, Microsoft Windows and Windows Server Support, Microsoft Exchange Support
* Minimum 3 years' experience - Switching/VLAN/Routing/Firewall Support
* Minimum 3 years' experience - Mobile Messaging Technologies (ActiveSync) Support
* Minimum 3 years' experience - Server Hardware Technologies (CPU/RAID/SCSI) Support
* Minimum 3 years' experience - BDR solutions, Corporate Antivirus Support, VPN Connectivity Support
* Minimum 3 years' experience - RMM tools
* Multiple certifications/high skill level. Preferred certifications: MCSA/MSCE, CCNA/CCDA, Project+, Network+
* Must have a valid US driver*s license
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs
