Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to work for a client in the federal government space. This person will bring network engineering expertise to assist the client in achieving short term and long term expectations and goals. Minimum / General Experience:


  • Cisco Access-Layer Switches- 3500, 3550, 3750 series

  • Cisco Collapsed Core- 6500, 6000 series

  • Cisco Edge Routers- 2800 ISR, 7200 series

  • Firewalls- Cisco ASA, Cisco FWSM (Firewall Switch Module), Checkpoint NG, and Cisco ASDM

  • VPN- Cisco ASA, Juniper SA2000

  • Both IPSec and SSL VPN experience

  • F5 Load-Balancers

  • Juniper IDS (Intrusion Detection)

  • Cisco ACS

  • Orion and/or Cirrus Network Monitoring



Experience:

  • Switching

  • STP (Spanning-Tree Protocol)

  • VLAN/VTP configurations

  • HSRP (Hot-Standby Routing Protocol)

  • Switch stacking and failover configurations

  • Routing

  • Route selection metrics

  • Static route configuration

  • Basic BGP knowledge

  • Virtualized multi-context firewall setup and configuration
