We are currently searching for a Network Nurse/Specialist to support International SOS on the development and maintenance of a healthcare provider Network in Puerto Rico including conducting provider assessments and site audits as well as other supporting activities as may be requested by Intl.SOS. Make professional and accurate provider assessments including review of the scope of medical capabilities and quality of care rendered by the provider.


 


Responsibilities include:


 


·         Under the guidance and direction of International SOS Global Assistance Department, conduct baseline research as needed, provider outreach, review credentialing documentation, conduct site audits using International SOS proprietary auditing tools and protocols.  Actively participate with the Network team in planning site audit trips.


·         Ensure provider assessment forms are completed within targeted timeframes and appropriately documented in the International SOS proprietary provider database 


·         Produce customized report post site audit that includes detailed provider information, credentialing review, description of actual care environment and recommendations


·         Support network team in conducting provider utilization review to ensure network adequacy targets are met


·         Support Intl.SOS in the development of  strategies to identify and recruit additional providers to meet access criteria in identified geographical locations


·         Support and conduct provider education during site visits as well as supporting on-going provider education initiatives under the guidance of International SOS Network Department. 


·         Handle provider inquiries during site surveys and provider assessment process regarding Client program guidelines in coordination International SOS network team according to International SOS standards and guidelines


·         Support Operations/Medical Director and Quality Teams on case reviews to ensure grievance, potential quality incidents are addressed, investigated and documented in the International SOS network management system as Support scheduled provider reviews


·         Visit providers, as directed by International SOS to educate and inform providers of new guidelines and/or any changes in client specific programs


·         Comply with reporting requirements as required by Intl.SOS


·         Maintain cooperative relationships with International SOS Global Assistance Network staff, Operations and Medical staff


·         Help provide solutions to any provider network problems that are affecting or may affect the delivery of service to the Client’s beneficiaries and/or other International SOS members


 


Customer & Provider Relations


·         Be accessible and responsive to providers needs and colleague’s questions, concerns and requests for information


·         Deal positively with Client’s internal/external complaints, including those from providers and beneficiaries. These are to be resolved wherever possible in a timely manner, or referring them to the appropriate department/ Management for direction


·         Maintain a courteous and professional manner at all times when dealing with service providers, customers and colleagues


 


Other Duties


·         To attend supervision, training and meetings as and when required. There may be a necessity for these to be outside normal working times.


·         To work within and promote all International SOS policies and procedures.


·         To carry our any other reasonable duties as requested by the Managers.


 


Qualifications include:


 


·                     RN with a minimum of 5 years experience in the clinical setting


·                     Fluent in English and Spanish – Written and verbal


·                     Customer Service


·                     Healthcare Quality Management/Assurance


·                     Experience in supporting Government programs


·                     Customer service oriented


·                     Work well within a team and individually


·                     Identifies and acts on potential problems and / or difficulties


·                     Demonstrates effective problem solving skills and lateral thinking


·                     Has initiative, takes responsibility


·                     Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize


·                     Ability to provide clear and concise written updates and reports


·                     Demonstrate appropriate listening skills


·                     Frequent travel within Puerto Rico


·                     Access to reliable transportation


·                     Valid driver’s license


·                     Some travel, primarily to Latin America and the US may be required
