Network Project ManagerLocation: Washington, DC
3.6.6.1. Responsibilities 3.6.6.1.1. Evaluate, supervise, organize, monitor, and control the daily operations and activities of the task. 3.6.6.1.2. Review performance and work products for compliance and adherence to requirements, concepts, standards and schedule progress. 3.6.6.1.3. Coordination with Project Management and customer representative to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction on technical subject matter. 3.6.6.1.4. Assist project leadership in designing the approach for a project, setting a technical direction, estimating / planning and directing developers. 3.6.6.1.5. Write specifications that will meet the business needs and legal requirements, and comply with applicable standards. 3.6.6.1.6. Collaborate with IT infrastructure specialists to leverage infrastructure capabilities and expertise in optimizing designs and applications. 3.6.6.1.7. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks emphasizing time management and attention to detail. 3.6.6.1.8. Demonstrated ability to work significant issues beyond specifically assigned duties and the ability to accomplish duties with minimum supervision. 3.6.6.1.9. Draft briefs, information papers and communications for senior management. 3.6.6.1.10. Demonstrated ability to produce high quality deliverables such information papers, presentations, and correspondence using MS Office suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). 3.6.6.2. Minimum Requirements 3.6.6.2.1. IT experience in network systems implementation or experience in a large-scale technical support environment. 3.6.6.2.2. Experience with the development of a schedule of activities outlining project life cycle and responsibilities that when complete will meet the customer's expectations. 3.6.6.2.3. Must excel in staff activities such as communication, coordination, timeliness and teamwork. 3.6.6.2.4. Excellent written and oral communication skills. 3.6.6.2.5. Experience briefing senior managers, sometimes with very short notice. 3.6.6.2.6. Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. 3.6.6.2.7. Systems and network support experience. 3.6.6.2.8. Advanced and refined computer and software troubleshooting skills and a strong, proactive client-service ethic. 3.6.6.2.9. Good communications skills and demonstrable experience making non-technical users comfortable with technology concepts. 3.6.6.2.10. Strong time management and detail-oriented organizational skills. 3.6.6.2.1 1. Experience may be considered in lieu of education if the candidate can effectively demonstrate functional/technical competence and progressive responsibility. 3.6.6.3. Preferred Requirements 3.6.6.3.1. Experience with MS Access and Project. 3.6.6.4. Experience Levels 3.6.6.4.1. Level 1 : one (1) to two (2) years IT experience in network systems implementation or experience in a large-scale technical support environment, one (1) to two (2) years experience with the development of a schedule of activities, and two (2) to five (5) years of systems and network support experience. 3.6.6.4.2. Level 2: two (2) to four (4) years IT experience in network systems implementation or experience in a large-scale technical support environment, two (2) to four (4) years experience with the development of a schedule of activities, and five (5) to seven (7) years of systems and network support experience. 3.6.6.4.3. Level 3: four (4) or more years IT experience in network systems implementation or experience in a large-scale technical support environment, four (4) or more years experience with the development of a schedule of activities, and seven (7) or more years of systems and network support experience.
