Storage Engineer Job Description: The Storage Engineer role requires that the incumbent have a good technical understanding of how a storage infrastructure interfaces with servers, network, databases, and other data center components. Additionally, the role requires the Storage Engineer to possess server administration skills (Windows/Linux/UNIX). Responsibilities: - Hands-on storage configuration, provisioning, and trouble-shooting.
- Design, build, test, and deployment of additional storage capabilities/services on top of the existing storage architecture
Basic Qualifications: - Must possess a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- 1 year of storage administration
- 2 years of systems (Windows and UNIX) administration
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Skills: - 1 years of storage and server architecture
- 1 years of UNIX administration
- Proficiency in at least one storage platform (vendor-based)
- 2 years of data center experience
- NetApp storage solution experience
- SAN/NAS interconnect experience (Data and Ethernet switching)
- Backup/restore and data protection experience
