KVH Product Network Support Specialist is a network professional responsible for the day to day service and management of the KVH suite of mobile data products and worldwide data networks including the mini-VSAT network and Inmarsat infrastructures. Position reports to the Network Supervisor. Resolve escalated customer communication issues (WAN, TCP/IP, VSAT, Internet). Support integration of customer's existing network into KVH's mobile broadband network. Must have strong experience in IP and full cycle installation of Wide Area Networks. VSAT technology a strong plus.

Prime Responsibilities:

• Acts as a second level point of escalation for all network issues, providing solutions for network problems ie, satellite hub, LAN, WAN, Internet, communications etc.
• Day to day monitoring of network operations, configuration, capacity, access, performance and security management in a mission critical network environment.
• Work with KVH Technical Support and service partners to validate, isolate and resolve issues raised by the KVH network user community and infrastructure changes.
• Work with the service team to identify, detail and implement product /service improvements identified through product evolution and customer feedback. Support network change (ECO) management.
• Manage technical evaluations of unique ‘pilot’ network infrastructures in the commercial fleet environment from TCP/IP operational and customer service perspectives. Ensure that all aspects of the system integration result in a high quality, reliable network. Ease of problem recognition and effective service provision to be detailed in service plans unique to the customer’s operational environment.
• Develop service application notes, support steps, problem escalation and notification processes for both customers and product / service providers.
• Attend customer installations / trade shows to fully understand field requirements and available technologies /3rd party products etc.
• Train Service personnel / dealers on all aspects of network infrastructure support. Compile Tier 1 & 2 network support documentation.
Required Skills:
• Ability to apply advanced troubleshooting skills in an environment where 100% network availability is prime objective.
• Provides a creative approach to network support issues, thus helping to constantly improve network stability and resilience.
• Ability to support / implement changes to complex network systems.
• Works effectively with cross functional teams to assist in the deployment of network hubs.
• Must possess excellent customer facing skills.

Qualifications:

BS in Computer Engineering required, 5+ yr.s of current experience a plus.
•Enterprise Network,Internet Integration, RF experience a plus.
In depth knowledge of TCP/IP routing, WAN/LAN networking technologies a must.
•Ability to travel both within US and International.
Excellent customer facing skills, strong problem solving skills.

•Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident(Green Card Holder)
