Position Summary:
Responsible for remotely installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex telecommunication systems, data network solutions, IP based telephony solutions, computer systems and/or complex software. Responds to situations where a problem has been reported via automated fault monitoring or called in directly by a customer. Uses remote procedures and advanced technical expertise to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software primarily related to telephony systems and data network issues. Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to the Technical Assistance Center. May conducts lab test to duplicate problems and provide detailed information to Engineering as needed. Assist Network Support Engineers as required.

Provide the highest level of skills in remote identification and resolution of complex product/service problems specifically related to voice solutions, data solution and converged voice / data problems |
Requires the highest level of knowledge on products and services. |
Conducts extremely complex system emulation/simulation activities to identify problems. Conducts lab test as required. |
Coordinate with Engineering on potential product defects and system modifications/changes. |
Maintain detailed documentation of problem resolution activities. Provide training and knowledge sharing with fellow employees and Altura Trainers. |

Assist the SE team as required to insure all data related issues are addressed in the design phase |

Equivalent of a Bachelor's degree or 7+ years-related experience. |
|
4 year’s minimum experience in providing high level technical support on PBX, IP PBX, Data Networks, TCP/IP voice mail, ACD/MIS, PC LAN networks, and other application processor equipment. |

Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees and have the ability to maintain professional composure during adverse situations. Must possess in depth understanding of data networks and in depth understanding of how voice over a data network will affect voice quality. Ability and desire to focus efforts toward timely handling and resolution of customer problems is a must. |

A complete understanding of personal computers and data applications is required and the ability to read schematics and operate various kinds of data and electronic test equipment is highly desirable. Working Schedule is as follows: Hours: Full time. Current shift opening is: Saturday 5 am - 1 pm, Sunday & Monday 1 pm - 9 pm, Tuesday & Wednesday 9 pm - 5 am; Thursday & Friday off. The initial training period will be during the day shift for three weeks. Candidates should be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and short-notice call-in |
