GURU Network Technicians: IT Field & Help Desk Openings Curently Available

GURU, Inc. is a dynamic IT consulting firm that provides infrastructure consulting and support services to small and mid-sized businesses throughout the Washington, DC area.  Due to continued growth and expansion, we are actively seeking Network Technicians.  The positions are primarily responsible for providing support for LAN network systems and end user support, both in the field and through the GURU Management Services team based in Gaithersburg, MD.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Uses knowledge of LAN systems to help install and maintain internal networks.
  
• Maintains, analyzes and troubleshoots desktop systems.
  
• Communicates with client regarding issues/activities being worked on.
  
• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
  
• Monitors back-up systems.
  
• Fulfills client contractual obligations; consider such factors as putting in extra effort and making sure that the Team Lead is aware of availability in the employee’s schedule.

 Requirements:

• Net+, MCP, MCDST Certification (MCSA and MCSE preferred)
  
• Minimum of 1 year proven experience as a PC Technician
  
• Minimum of 1 year proven experience of hands-on Network Administration
  
• Minimum of 1 year Helpdesk experience
