We are currently looking for a Network Voice Technician, to join the team in Billings, MT.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for inbound customer maintenance requests, responsible for every customer issue or trouble ticket submitted to them, from initial ticket acceptance through closure. This will include working on assigned trouble tickets, escalating/following up with carriers and customers to resolve issues, troubleshooting existing issues, and using supplied monitoring tools in order to maintain network reliability
  • Provides 1st level & higher technical support for our voice customers
  • Ensures that customer trouble reports are resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Minimizes Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) on all issues.
  • Access various Network devices/systems for trouble isolation and/or circuit testing.
  • Ensure that hand-offs to other Work Centers for resolution are minimal and seamless to the customer.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts in a 24x7x365 environment
  • Consistently behaves in a manner that demonstrates concern for quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Work with Customers, Vendors and/or Carriers to resolve Network and/or equipment related issues

Your Profile:

  • Experience supporting Telecom Operations. Possess strong customer service skills, a desire to assist people and the ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and professionalism Demonstrates strong trouble shooting concepts and techniques.
  • Ability to identify problems and implement solutions.
  • A quick learner who can perform under stressful conditions.
  • Exercise independent judgment and works with minimal supervision.
  • Understands telecom switching topology and network architectures.
  • Well developed analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to multi task and set priorities accordingly.
  • Fully computer literate, with command of Microsoft Office software as well as technical and diagnostic programs and systems.
  • Ability to follow set process and procedures and be a valuable Team Player.
  • Strong knowledge of various telecom voice products.
  • Experience in dealing with LECs and other Carriers is a definite plus.
  • This position will require Network Security level screening. Pursuant to the Network Security Agreement (NSA) entered into between Global Crossing and the U.S. Government, only U.S. citizens may be assigned to this position.

Your Education:

  • 4 year BS technical degree or equiv. work experience
