Our client is a leading global supplier of surgical instruments and implantable medical devices. The company designs and produces surgical instrumentation and implants for Neurosurgery, Microsurgery, ENT, Plastic and Reconstructive, Thoracic, Micro-vascular, Cardiovascular, Orthopedic, Laparoscopic and General Surgeries and Central Processing.
Our client is seeking a qualified candidate to manage and implement marketing activities for assigned product areas through research, strategic planning and implementation. Responsibilities include: conducting on-going research to define market needs; identifying the need for and implementing new products, line extensions, and deletions; developing short-term product promotion strategies as well as formulating effective pricing strategies; maintaining inventory to include disposition of excess products; developing and managing new product introduction process including written product proposals, project management, all launch activities and line extensions and modifications; providing technical product support to the sales force, customer service, and managed care.
Successful candidates MUST have these minimum capabilities to be considered for this position: Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent, MBA preferred. 5 to 10 years medical device product management experience required, ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community; experience in presenting information to top management, public groups, and board of directors desired.
