Job Profile:
The New Business Coordinator is responsible for assisting the New Business Director in all efforts aimed at increasing new business ventures including support and management of the pitch process from start to finish. In addition to supporting the New Business Director and new business team, the Coordinator will be exposed to and will interact with executive and senior agency management and will act a point person in the Director’s absence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Gather and maintain agency data for Request for Proposals (RFPs).
Create and maintain pitch checklists and timelines.
Uses NB research tools to develop in-depth fact sheets for potential client / category to distribute to pitch team.
Oversee all production needed for pitch theater and work with various internal departments to set up fundamentals.
Participate in discussions of piecing together a pitch/RFP story.
Create pitch specific budget with NB Director. Approve and process invoices and expenses.
Conducts research of potential prospects with Marketing/NB Specialist. Prepare prospect fact sheets and deep dive category explorations as necessary.
Build and maintain a database of industry news (including RECMA) to track competitive activity and identify new business opportunities.
Update all consultant and industry websites with the most up-to-date MediaCom data.
Manage and maintain vendor relationships. Vendors include branding companies, art studios, print studios, etc.
Assist NB Director in managing team of PPT Specialist, Graphic Designer, and assistant.
Manage and maintain all new business materials, from ordering stock and looking after tools to create new business materials to keeping example pitch leave-behinds.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Detail-oriented
Flexibility in work schedule
Strong understanding/affinity for advertising and marketing industry
Knowledge of Nexis and Adviews preferred but not required
- Technical proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications, Experience:
- BA/BS degree required
- Minimum of 2 plus years work experience preferable in an advertising or marketing agency
