A Dealership Sales Consultant must possess the ability to sell and/or lease new and used vehicles. Must meet gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Attends work on a regular and punctual basis, based on the department work schedule.
· Satisfies the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers.
· Sells/leases and delivers a minimum of 10 units per month.
· Approaches, greets, and offers assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
· Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity.
· Completes product and sales training courses as requested by Sales Manager.
· Ensures that the Sales Manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.
· Consistently and accurately utilizes dealership processes including sales, vehicle preparation, delivery, financing and follow-up procedures.
· Meets sales certification standards.
· Meets dealership standards of customer satisfaction.
· Turns 100 percent of closed deals to finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.).
· Processes paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.
· Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
· Works ethically as part of a sales team by reuniting returning customers with the original sales consultant with whom they worked.
· Attends all sales meetings, as directed by dealership management.
· Maintains professional appearance.
· Performs other duties, as assigned.
MARGINAL DUTIES:
· Understands and follows the federal, state, and local laws that govern automobile sales.
· Prepares sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival.
· Serves as a mentor for new Sales Consultants.
· Performs other duties, as assigned.
