Overview:       Founded in
2001, Bonnie CLAC is the only nonprofit car organization in the country that
uses a uniquely comprehensive set of services to help struggling families and
individuals break the cycle of poor financial decision making using the car
buying process to catalyze lasting change, financial stability, and
control.  The program can save a client
more than $10,000 over the five and a half year period of the loan and provide
the empowering skills and confidence to achieve a lasting positive impact to
the clients work, life, and health including contributing to a more sustainable
environment.  On average the program
reduces carbon emissions by 36 metric tons of CO2 per person over the life of
the car.



Since inception Bonnie CLAC
has financed 1188 cars, serving 1065 people, and arranging for over $13M in
loans, with losses on defaults of only $70,000. 
Bonnie CLAC has already saved alumni of the program over $2.5M and will
save them over $12.6M over the course of their loans.



Bonnie CLAC guides low to
moderate income families and individuals through the car-buying process from
start to finish.  Provided are counseling
and credit repair services, financial literacy classes, a temporary
transportation (Bridge) program, and guaranteed car loans at wholesale interest
rates to consumers who would not otherwise qualify for them to finance brand
new or good used cars that suits a clients’ needs. 



 



Position:      Bonnie
CLAC is seeking a highly motivated, talented and dynamic individual to serve as
Executive Director for New Hampshire with
primary responsibility for leading the organization in New Hampshire and providing daily hands on
guidance for the counselors providing services across the state.  The ED will have the opportunity to execute a
newly developed three year strategic plan to grow and refine statewide
services.



 



Responsibilities:  



  • Supervise New
    Hampshire
    service delivery including daily
    review and direction of client counselors.
  • Strengthen and build relationships with
    businesses in healthcare, education, retail and hospitality and non-profit
    agencies as referral sources for clients ensuring growth.
  • Drive achievement oft New Hampshire objectives
    as part of Bonnie CLAC strategic plan.
  • Drive client acquisition partnerships 
  • Hire, manage, supervise and train staff of 4
    counselors
  • Broaden community presence; serve as the “face”
    of the organization in New Hampshire
    developing and strengthening relationships, and representing the interests
    of the state as part of a National staff including an Executive Director
    in Massachusetts
    and a Central Services Director
  • Develop a NH Advisory Council
  • Be part of a national leadership team that is
    piloting and strengthening a program model and laying the groundwork for
    larger growth
  • Responsible for marketing and outreach efforts
    to expand the program to serve more individuals across the state


 



Qualifications: 



The individual we are
searching for has:



  • A blend of experience and entrepreneurial spirit
    to lead and grow the program in NH. Significant experience in managing and
    growing social service or social change programs, with at least 5-7 years
    of experience launching or expanding social change programs with a track
    record of success in growing the programs footprint.
  • Deep knowledge of NH’s business, non-profit, and
    government community is a plus
  • A self-starter with prior experience working
    independently to build relationships. 
    Comfortable prioritizing tasks in a resource constrained
    environment
  • A flexible problem solver who excels at striking
    the balance between innovation and continuity, deliberation and action,
    and independence and collaboration. A team player who motivates other to
    exceed expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to have a positive
    attitude, sense of humor, energy, high degree of flexibility within a
    professional setting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication
    skills.  Able to listen well and
    hone in on what is important as well as succinctly, articulately and
    compellingly present the work and messages of Bonnie CLAC in diverse settings.  A clear writer and a strong public
    speaker.
  • Well organized and able to prioritize and manage
    effectively
  • A self starter with prior experience working
    independently and comfortable prioritizing tasks in a resource constrained
    environment.
  • Demonstrated success in staff management


A Bachelors degree or
equivalent experience is required, advanced degree is preferred

CEO.  Salary is commensurate with
