RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage audits, reviews, and compilations from planning to completion
- Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations
- Anticipate and address client needs
- Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments, and technical authorities
- Manage and develop client relationships
- Conduct effective meetings with management and Board of Directors to discuss audit planning and financial results
- Manage audit staff assigned to engagements and review work paper files
- Develop and mentor staff through training and effective performance feedback
- Market firm services to prospective clients
- Provide fee quotes and billings
- Manage scheduling and load balancing for engagements
- Draft major proposals and bids
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years recent experience in Public Accounting working in an audit role with an emphasis in nonprofit audit and accounting
- Solid understanding of audit and attest services with knowledge of FASB regulations and GAAP, including A-133
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university
- Ability to travel
- Licensed CPA
- Ability to meet challenging client requirements, provide excellent client service, and possess strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research abilities
